(Tidigare Malmö Musikteater) Malmö Opera (tidigare Malmö Musikteater) invigdes hösten 1944 och var då norra Europas mest moderna teater. Bygget hade pågått i 11 år och trots att det initiala önskemålet från upphovsmannen av teatern var att uppföra byggnaden i klassisk stil, så valde man att satsa på modern arkitektur.
